 Dumas
Central Industries (DCI) designs and builds customized
material handling systems, storage retrieval systems
and automated conveyance solutions. Our
conveyors can either be designed and engineered
as a stand alone unit or they can be fully integrated
with an existing manufacturing line. DCI was established
in 1999 to
create an opportunity for customers to contract
a minority business enterprise
that can provide turnkey conveyor solutions.
Headquartered
in Brighton, Michigan, DCI has been involved
with projects throughout the United States, Canada,
Mexico and the United Kingdom.
Capabilities...
We
have extensive capabilities not only in design and
fabrication at our Michigan facilities, but also
in the installation and integration at locations
in the field. Our talented roster of project managers
and engineers have participated in several large
conveyor packages for customers that include DaimlerChrysler,
Ford Motor Company and General Motors Corporation.
Non-automotive
related, DCI was involved with the installation
of 5 miles of baggage-handling equipment and 6 explosion
detection devices at the Ed McNamara Northwest Airlines
Midfield Terminal in Detroit and the set-up of the
grandstands and concession stands for the 2004 Ryder
Cup in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
 Engineering...

Our
in-house engineering staff is capable of both
2-D and 3-D detailing and layouts.

variety of design software utilized including
AutoCAD, SolidEdge, FIDES and E-Factory.

Our
Engineering Process involves customer feedback/input
and is itegrated as a part of our QS-9000 TE
quality system.

We
can provide FMEAs, LCCs, MTBF, MTTR and FEAs,
as well as maintenance manuals and conveyor
training programs.

DCI
has an electrical engineer on staff that is
experienced in various controls programs and
electrical systems including Allen-Bradley software.
This gives us the capability to design and build
panels, furnish field wiring and supervision,
and write
control logistical operations.
